A Grand Removal Job
When Mr. Beale contacted us at Advanced Removals, asking if we could move his grand piano from his property in Swindon a week before the completion date, we knew that this job would require a little extra organisation but we were fully prepared to take on the job.

It turned out that Mr. Beale had already approached several other removal companies asking for help and they had all declined, leaving him with a serious dilemma.
The piano was upstairs and there was no way it was going through any doorways, leaving us with the option of using the large window on the front of the building to extract the instrument. Our initial idea was to hire a telescopic crane or platform but we could not secure an operator in the time frame we had to work in – this was just before the bank holiday weekend also.
We realised the easy thing to do would be to follow suit like the other removal firms and decline the job but we did not feel right leaving such as nice gentleman like Mr. Beale without a solution and peace of mind – so, we came up with another plan.
Mr. Beale liaised with a builder, who began removing the large window in the house on the morning of the move.
Whilst this was happening, the Advanced Removals team set about professionally packing the piano so it would be properly protected.
We also hired specialist boards to protect the surrounding area. The vehicle for the move was equipped with a two ton tail-lift which was more than adequate for the task.
With the piano protected, the vehicle in place with the tail-lift acting as a platform, the piano was safely on the back of the van in no time at all.
Mr. Beale was very pleased with the service and filmed the move for his records.
